LYNDONVILLE - A new restaurant, a new owner - and a new idea to bring business to Broad street. Aine Baker told News 7 that entertainment will be the biggest highlight of his new spot, which he's named The Stage.
Baker said he's entering the final stages after two months of interior construction and anticipates a grand opening in mid-February. He plans on featuring live bands, karaoke and hosting open mic nights once open for business.
But, his efforts have met some challenges.
"Vermont's kinda tough with a lot of permits and how you have to structure one thing after another," Baker said. "You have to get this done, before you get that done, so on and so forth...that's tough, but you just have to fight through that stuff and keep working at it."
Baker said he knew the previous owner.
The Stage replaces former hamburger joint Burgers and Fries Unlimited, a business that struggled - facing numerous name changes and product offerings during its less than a year in business.
